Congratulations to Kimberly Olsen-Wilson the purchase of Royal Cate. We are looking forward to seeing how Cate develops with Kimberly aboard.
Royal Cate (Cate) descends from German dressage, jumping, and eventing elite. Royaldik is a 1999 bay, 17h, German Oldenburg stallion who is approved for, in addition to Oldenburg, HANN, AA, AES,BAWU, ISH, and SBS. He was the winner of his German stallion test earning 149 points for dressage and 126 points for jumping. Known as a good natured stallion who passes along elastic movements to his progeny, one of his most important traits is his ridability. Royaldik’s sire, Royal Diamond, is the son of the legendary Rubinstein. Both Royal Diamond and Rubinstein are very influential in dressage breeding. Royaldik’s dam sire is the full sister of Heraldik, who has been one of the most, if not the most successful source of event horses in history.
Cate’s dam sire, Cascani, descends from the power house “C” line. Cascani, a 1997 Grey stallion, was the a top 1.40m horse with impeccable offspring. Approved for DSP, AHHA, SBS, and RPSI, Cascani passes along ridabliltiy and athleticism to his progeny. His sire, Cassini I, a champion in his own right, was the son of the great Capitol I, who had 25 approved stallion offspring which are much sought after for breeding to this day.
Cate, a three year old as of 2020, started her education the summer of 2019. Cate, lightly started, learned to lunge off the bridle with a surcingle and then with a saddle. She will be backed the Spring of 2020. Cate competed in the Two Year Old in hand class at the Woodside Horse Park (The Event at Woodside) in August of 2019 and won her class with a score of 70%. Cate is a beautiful grey filly with three correct gaits. She is very calm and willing and is a favorite in our barn. We are very excited to add Cate to our breeding and competition program.
